Brain-Body Home Program

Online support for parents looking for home activity programs to support their child's learning.

The Brain-Body Online Program is a 3 month home program with fortnightly 1-1 online video sessions, focussing on your child’s goals and the area’s your child is needing extra support with.

The home program activities centre around reflex integration, movement-based activities to support your child with establishing the foundations and movement skills required for complex, higher-brain learning and development.

Does your child experience:

Sensitivities to sound, touch, taste, or movement
Feeling car-sick or motion sickness easily
Challenges with reading, writing, spelling, mathematics for their age group
Difficulty with riding a bike, catching/throwing/kicking a ball,
Speech and articulating words and sounds clearly
Confidence to try new things
Running, skipping, hopping, jumping, climbing or crawling
Keeping their balance and coordinating movement
Difficulty sleeping (falling asleep/staying asleep)
Tying shoelaces or dressing

Infant milestones either skipped or they were slower to reach milestones e.g rolling, crawling, walking and talking later than expected
Toileting or bedwetting
Vision/visual skills, or difficulty reading
Strong fears or worries (anxiety, frequent nightmares, often expresses worry)
Activity levels (highly active/unable to sit still or very lethargic and low energy)
Dyslexia, Dysgraphia or learning challenges
Not wanting to engage in tasks, frequent sensory meltdowns
Difficulty expressing their emotions or is emotionally sensitive

Is this the right fit for my child/family?

Many families are unable to access funding for therapy supports, despite their child needing support with their learning and development, such as writing, reading, spelling and attention challenges.
This program is designed for families who are proactive, motivated and are able to follow a home program consistently for the duration of 3 months.

The fortnightly catch-up sessions provide support with accountability, ensure that the home program continues to be suitable for your child, ensure the activities are appropriate and achieveable, allow an opportunity to review movement exercises and correct performance of exercises and to follow up with progress and track any changes. This 3 month (6 x fortnightly sessions) program is intended to meet the needs of families who are looking for accessible and short-term intervention and support to enhance their child’s learning and development, through home-based movement activities. This program can be accessed by families who are currently engaging in therapy services, at your discretion.

All appointments are provided as Occupational therapy sessions. Appointments take place via an online video platform and additional communication by email to follow up after the session takes place.

What you you will receive:

Once signed up to this online program, you will receive:

A review of your reflex assessment questionnaire to identify specific active primitive reflexes
6 x fortnightly individual 1-1 video calls (up to 30 mins) to practice and review exercise movements with your child present, or by reviewing video footage of their movement practice at home
Individualised movement-based program for your child + family to practice at home
Revisions to your home program as neccessary during the 3 month program
Digital home program provided via Theratrak App (so you can access your program anytime!)
PDF and video resources
A home program to continue with after the program has finished
Opportunity to book addition 1-1 sessions as required to review and update your program
